A 26-YEAR-OLD man of Kabanje Village in Chief Mwanachingwala in Mazabuka District is nursing a swollen anal area after being sodomized and assaulted at a bar.
Southern Province Police Commanding Officer Moono Namalongo has told TV Yatu that, on June 22, 2026, at around 22:00 hours, the victim who works within the nearby gardens knocked off from work and later stopped at a named bar within the village.
On arrival there, the victim joined others in taking alcohol.
Namalongo shares that, shortly after, the victim met a man whom he started consuming alcohol, along with.
Unknown to the victim, the man was eyeing and drooling for his back side.
Realising that the man whose anal area he was after had become intoxicated, the now suspect lured the victim into a room within the bar premises, and pleasured himself, against the victim’s will.
It is alleged that, the victim was also assaulted as the suspect forcibly engaged in unnatural sexual intercourse with him.
The victim sustained injuries which forced him to seek assistance from a relative, who later helped report the matter to the police, the following day on June 23, 2026.
Namalongo tells TV Yatu that the suspect is on the run and efforts to bring him to book, have been intensified.
