A MOTHER of Lusaka with the support of her fornicating engaged in a vicious verbal battle in the Lusaka Boma Court as they resisted demands that they pay K15,000 as ‘damage’ for a girl he impregnated.

With her chitenge wrapped tight, mother spewed litres upon litres of saliva swearing before the court that her son, Beniden Muyumba, contrary to tradition, would not pay a single coin for impregnating Mary Kaunda because her son had informed her that the victim was nor Virgin Mary when he met her.

Energised by his mom, Muyumba, despite accepting that he was the one who recklessly spilled some teaspoons of human maheu into Mary, joined his mom in refusing to pay ‘damage’ arguing that she was already a damaged good when he met her and she confessed that she had multiple prolonged sexual encounters with her ex-boyfriend.

As if that was not enough, Muyumba also sought to wiggle himself out of the bill by turning into a self-appointed expert in Tonga culture claiming that, as per their culture, any talks of payments should be after Mary delivers.

Noting that the culture argument may not work, the fornicating and impregnating Muyumba threw in a religious argument claiming he was a firm believer in Seventh Day Adventist prophets such as Ellen G. White, and could he not marry Mary as he had assured another woman in the church of marriage.

Shocked by the son and mother arguments, mother to the 22-year old pregnant girl narrated that Muyumba’s mother was an IG, not of the Zambia Police but as an Insultant General who chased pregnant Mary from her son’s home calling her “Mwembwamwe….u want to become unjustly rich”.

Having heard all parties, Magistrate George Kaoma cast his judgement and said,

“When you were undressing in preparation for the ‘missionary’ style you were not fully aware that you don’t work? You thought you were just urinating? You can’t say you are unemployed after impregnating someone. I order that you compensate your girlfriend’s mother K15,000 in monthly instalments of K1000 effective March 3.”
