MOTHER SENDS SOS REGARDING HER VISUALLY IMPAIRED SON
A 28-year-old mother of three in Mazabuka’s Overspill Compound has called on well-wishers to help facilitate medical care for her 6-year-old visually impaired son.
Royness Simoonga tells Byta FM Zambia News that the child’s sight was fine at birth, however deteriorating over time after he turned 2, with diagnosis done at Zimba Eye Clinic.
She explains that the child has other health complications as he cannot talk and walk, with his growth visibly stagnant for someone his age.
Simoonga adds that the boy finds it hard to sleep as he cries a lot especially during the night.
She notes that he was booked for an operation over a year ago but the procedure is yet to take place, hence asking for help from well-wishers.
