Mpezeni firm against breasts display at Nc’wala

PARAMOUNT Chief Mpezeni of the Ngoni has maintained the ban on the display of breasts by women during the Nc’wala traditional ceremony slated for February 26.

Initially, the traditional leader banned the public display of breasts by women during the ceremony in 2019 on grounds that the archaic traditional practice could not continue because times had evolved and people ought to adjust accordingly.

He told journalists yesterday that the decision he made in 2019 is still binding and it will apply even during this year’s Nc’wala ceremony.
