With campaigns gaining momentum ahead of elections, music is proving a key unifying force as Kalulushi parliamentary candidate Rashida Mulenga joined congregants at Pentecostal Assemblies of God in Chambishi on Sunday for Mwana’s album sampling concert.

“We worshipped, stood together and united in faith,” Mulenga said, highlighting how gospel music draws communities together across political lines.

Candidates often use concerts and church events to connect with voters, and Mulenga said Kalulushi’s strength lies in shared values.

“We are a people united in faith, a people that work together in creating a future we want,” she said.

Mulenga urged residents to channel that unity into civic action.

“Let us unite, rise, and move forward. The future is in our hands,” Mulenga added, reaffirming her commitment to community development.

Political analysts note that music events offer aspirants visibility and grassroots engagement, especially in towns like Kalulushi where church gatherings remain central to social life.
