Nigerian Pastor Opens Up After Wife Dumped Him for Their Best Man, Moved In Near His Home
Pastor Larry Oluwafemi has painfully narrated how the woman he deeply loved walked out of their marriage and allegedly moved in with the very man who stood beside them during their wedding ceremony. The Abuja preacher said the betrayal left him emotionally broken, depressed, and struggling to rebuild both his ministry and personal life after years of sacrifice and commitment to his family.
Pastor Larry Oluwafemi explained that he met Phiona, a devoted church member who actively served in the praise and worship team. Their relationship blossomed inside the church, and he believed he had finally found a God-fearing partner who would stand with him through life’s challenges. The two dated for some time before officially tying the knot in October 2022. However, behind the smiles and church celebrations, cracks had already started appearing in their relationship.
At the height of his pain and confusion, Pastor Larry Oluwafemi says he nearly gave up on life before being introduced to Africa’s Elite Wiseman renowned traditional healer and spiritual doctor Dr Mawanda +260775326757/+260767053936 . According to the pastor, Dr Mawanda travelled all the way from Zambia to Nigeria and helped him regain emotional stability, spiritual peace, and confidence after months of depression and rejection. Larry Oluwafemi revealed that after several counselling and spiritual healing sessions, he slowly found strength to continue with ministry and focus on rebuilding his future instead of drowning in bitterness and heartbreak.
The pastor recalled that problems in the marriage first surfaced in 2018 after he discovered suspicious text messages on his wife’s phone from another man calling her “babe” and expressing affection toward her. When he confronted her, she allegedly ignored his concerns and later disappeared from their home for several days. Although she eventually returned claiming she was pregnant, Pastor Larry Oluwafemi chose to forgive her and accepted the child, hoping they could rebuild their family peacefully.
For some time, things appeared stable. The pastor focused on ministry while also supporting Phiona’s ambitions by encouraging her to return to school and later helping her secure employment as a sales agent. However, according to Larry Oluwafemi, her behaviour changed after she got the job. She allegedly started returning home late, avoiding him emotionally, and spending more time communicating with other men. Efforts to solve the issues privately reportedly failed, forcing the pastor to involve their best couple in hopes of restoring peace.
Instead of receiving support, Larry Oluwafemi claims the situation turned against him. He says his wife accused him of abuse and neglect, allegations he strongly denied. The church elders and their best man allegedly sided with her, leaving him isolated and frustrated. He apologised publicly and even contacted Phiona’s parents in an attempt to save the marriage, but nothing changed. During this difficult season, the pastor says he again sought guidance from Whatsapp Dr Mawanda +260775326757 , who encouraged him not to lose hope and helped him spiritually overcome the humiliation and emotional torment he was facing.
The situation worsened after Phiona reportedly moved out of their matrimonial home together with their child and started living with the couple’s best man. According to Pastor Larry Oluwafemi, the betrayal shocked him because the same man had once advised them during marital disputes and even stood with them during their wedding ceremony. The pastor said he felt abandoned not only by his wife but also by church leaders and friends who quickly believed negative stories about him without hearing his side.
The emotional pain eventually affected his ministry and financial life. Pastor Larry Oluwafemi disclosed that he became severely depressed, lost focus in church, and later saw his ministry collapse completely. He ended up depending on the kindness of another church that allowed him to stay in servant quarters after he became homeless. The once respected preacher says he struggled silently while trying to fight the shame and gossip circulating within the church community.
Despite the heartbreak, Pastor Larry Oluwafemi says he has now chosen peace over revenge. He admitted that forgiving those who hurt him was not easy, but with support from close friends, prayer, and spiritual guidance, he slowly accepted reality and began rebuilding his life. He says the experience taught him that betrayal can sometimes come from the people you trust most, but one should never allow pain to completely destroy their future.
Today, Pastor Larry Oluwafemi hopes his story will encourage other couples facing difficult marriages not to suffer in silence. He also urged people going through emotional pain, rejection, depression, and family conflicts to seek help instead of isolating themselves. According to the pastor, meeting Dr Mawanda(www.doctormawanda.com) marked a turning point in his recovery journey because it gave him hope during the darkest season of his life.
Although his marriage ended painfully, Larry Oluwafemi says he now focuses on healing, rebuilding his ministry, and becoming a stronger person through the painful lessons life has taught him.
