UPND aspiring councillor Eugene Numwa took his campaign to Justin Kabwe Ward 24 on Saturday, opening three new branches and laying out a four-pillar plan for the ward ahead of the 13 August 2026 elections.

Numwa, who is running under the slogan “People’s Choice,” began the day with Ward Chair Kahilu and local officials at Sekela Branch.

The team then launched Shockers Branch, Chinsali Branch, and Tanga Branch by evening.

Numwa recently vowed to deliver the ward to the ruling party away from the the opposition Patriotic Front. The area has been a PF stronghold for a while.

Speaking to residents at each stop, Numwa anchored his message on what he called “early delivery through connection.”

“Even before I have assumed office, my works are visible through connection,” he said.

“Employment to youth has already happened, and we have helped the underprivileged — widows and orphans,” Numwa added.

Numwa explained that the four-pillar plan covers security, infrastructure, health, and community funding.

The aspiring civic leader pledged to install street lights across the ward once elected in order to boost security and allow late-night trading without fear of theft. This, he said is in line with the recently activated 24- hour economy by President Halainde Hichilema.

Numwa further committed to paving streets in most parts of Justin Kabwe Ward 24 and building a maternity ward at Marapodi Clinic during his tenure.

“I will make sure a share for CDF works for people in Justin Kabwe Ward 24 — through cash-for-work, empowerment, and developmental projects,” he added.

Justin Kabwe Ward 24 residents will elect councillors, MPs, mayors, and the president on 13 August 2026.
