More than 20 years ago, I remember sitting at home, listening to radio 4, wondering how a recording studio like Zintwastic, Cypher Music, Muvi Studios, Makeni Facility, Jive Beat looked like inside.

I had only 3 songs written down which never came out upto date, the closest I was or ever got to the music industry then, was talking to Rahim of Tribal Cousins.

But all that time I was listening to radio, it was “TUFIDANSEKO” & “NAKUPELA FYONSE” by my brother him RUFF KAIDA with Negas and Dj Banky Bias.

You get my point? Ruff Kid was there way before Exile had his first album, before K’millian & Tommy D were on the first Sling Beats Compilation, before Hamoba was even part of Namanje, Before Alubusu, Before Black Muntu’ second album…. And he still here.

Before Lupando Mwape was vice president. Before Mwanawasa was president. The days of Tontos bread, before guys n girls left, before Mondo music zone…
