Police in Lusaka have formally charged and arrested Edith Nawakwi, 63, of Roma Township in Lusaka for the offence of abduction contrary to Section 253 and 256 Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.

Facts of the offence are that the suspect, while acting together with others unknown, is alleged to have forced Pheluna Hatembo and Milton Hatembo into confinement against their will at different Lodges in Lusaka after deceiving them that she was going to help them.WIN INSTANT CASH AND FOLLOW THE STEPS WITH A SINGLE CLICK

Zambia Police Service Deputy Public Relations Officer Danny Mwale says Ms Nawakwi asked them to travel to Lusaka from Choma.

Mr Mwale says during the time of their confinement, the victims were not allowed to move, communicate with anyone and do anything without her authority.

He says this occurred between September 2020 and January 2021 in Lusaka.

Mr. Mwale says the suspect has been released on Police Bond pending court appearance.
