PATRIOTS for Economic Progress-PeP President, Sean Tembo, says in the absence of sound explanation, Zambian’s must not be blamed for speculating that President Hakainde Hichilema was using Stanley Kakubo to run illegal personal international outings.

Tembo’s sentiment follows his observation that more than 4 months since Kakubo left the role of Foreign Affairs and International Relations on grounds of corruption allegations, he is yet to be replaced.

Tembo says the President’s failure to replace the aforementioned could be that he is unable to find another person whom he can trust to run such illegal personal international errands.

He states that the position of Foreign Affairs Minister is very critical to any government as the position holder is responsible for establishing and maintaining Zambia’s relationship with other nations.

Tembo remarks that it is for the said reason that Hichilema owes an explanation to Zambians as to why he has kept such a key position vacant for a prolonged period of time.

He says that Zambians should not be surprised if the President re-appoints Kakubo to the position of Foreign Affairs Minister, however saying such an action will be an insult to the intelligence of citizens.
