Patriots for Economic Progress ( PeP) founding President Sean Tembo has announced his retirement from active politics.
Tembo said the decision to hang in the politcal gloves follows careful thought and introspection.
“After careful consideration and extensive consultations with family and friends, I have decided to retire from active politics with immediate effect,Tembo said, in a statement.
Coincidentally, Tembo said today marks exactly 10 years since he founded the Patriots for Economic Progress (PeP).
“Even though I did not succeed to be elected to any public office in the past 10 years, I stand proud of the political contributions that I have made thus far. Most notably, the annual PeP Alternative National Budgets, as well as extensive jurisprudence on political cases in the High Court and Constitutional Court of Zambia,” he added.
