Serenje Residents say they are shocked by the deterioration in the quality of their lives from the time the UPND Administration came into power.
One of the residents, Edna Musonda of Serenje’s Mulilima Area, said fertiliser distribution which was smooth under the PF Administration has suddenly become a challenge under the New Dawn Administration.
Ms Musonda said majority of Zambians have failed to benefit from the leadership of President Hakainde Hichilema to advance their lives.
She said she UPND leadership at Serenje District level are not accommodative to those interested in working with the ruling party.
Ms Musonda said the UPND in Serenje focuses on preserving their positions while ignoring the fact that politics is about numbers.
She said the people of Serenje are resolved to vote UPND out in the 2026 general election with the Socialist Party being the best alternative Government in waiting.
Ms Musonda said the SP must focus on Muchinda Ward in order to scoop Serenje Constituency.
Another Resident, Edward Mumba, urged the Socialist Party to be in constant touch with the grassroots as they have been accepted on the ground.
Meanwhile, Victor Chibale of Serenje, also said Constituency Development Fund-CDF has not impacted Muchinda Ward as they only talk about it in the media.
