The Zambia Police Service has confirmed the arrest of seven suspects in connection with the murder of Chaminuka Resort Chief Executive Officer Stelios Sardinis, who was killed during an aggravated robbery at the resort in Chisamba District.
According to a statement issued by Zambia Police Public Relations Officer Godfrey Chilabi, investigations into the shocking murder have led to the apprehension of seven male suspects, all of whom are residents of Lusaka.
Mr. Sardinis, aged 64, was attacked and killed during a robbery that occurred between 01:00 and 01:15 hours on August 9, 2026, at Chaminuka Lodge.
Police said four suspects were arrested earlier in the investigation, while three additional suspects were apprehended in Lusaka on August 11, 2026.
The seven suspects are currently in police custody as investigations continue.
Authorities say investigators are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the murder and aggravated robbery, including determining the specific role allegedly played by each suspect.
