A 22-year-old woman from Shapande Compound in Choma District has called on well-wishers to help with basic needs as she nurses her 29-year-old paralyzed brother.

Bridget Tembo tells Byta FM News that a while ago, her brother, Cephas Tembo, was involved in a car bash accident along 15 miles in Lusaka, later admitted to Levy Mwanawasa Hospital where he was certified paralyzed for the whole body.

She says the paralysis has affected his ability to talk and move, hence responding to the call of nature on his sleeping space.

Tembo adds that before his accident, her brother was the only breadwinner in the family of three as both parents are dead.

Meanwhile, Senior Citizen Teddy Musokwe narrates that it is irking to see the young lady changing her brother’s diapers, noting the need for disinfectants.

He adds that the family has been bouncing from house to house due to lack of stable accommodation.

Musokwe has also requested any sympathizers to at least help the family in whatever way they can.

And a Byta FM Reporter engaged the Department of Social Welfare concerning the matter, promising to ascertain on 19th December, 2023, how Cephas Tembo can be helped.
