SP SADDENED CDF JUST ON PAPER IN WESTERN PROVINCE

Socialist Party (SP) Deputy Secretary General, Antonio Mwanza, says the much publicised Constituency Development Fund-CDF is just on paper in some parts of the Country especially Western Province.

Mr. Mwanza said it is also saddening that President Hakainde Hichilema, Luena Member of Parliament and Councilors have abandoned grassroots that laboured to put them into power.

This came to light at Kambundi Village in Ndanda Ward of Luena Constituency in Limulunga District, Western Province, when SP President Dr. Fred M’membe stopped by to refuel his vehicle but residents gathered, demanding to be addressed.

“President Hakainde Hichilema has been preaching about Constituency Development Fund-CDF. Women, did you get CDF? Youths, did you get CDF? Do you have drinking water facilities? Do you have health facilities? Do you have schools? What about Social Cash Transfer? Do you have Youth Empowerment Funds?” he asked.

The SP Deputy Secretary General said President Hichilema had even failed to install a net in the Football pitch in Kambundi Village.

“Do not be cheated. The MP you wholeheartedly voted for has abandoned the Constituency. You voted for a Councilor who has disappeared. Have you ever seen any President in this village? The first President to visit this village is Dr. Fred M’membe, President of the Socialist Party,” he said.

Mr. Mwanza urged people to get electoral gifts from those in power but vote for Socialist Party.

“When ba BOMA give you Mealie-meal, cooking oil and other things, get them because that is your money but do not vote for them. When they give you K1000 to solicit for votes, tell them to add another K900 or else do not vote for them because that is your money. Get the money but vote for Socialist Party. They will cheat you that when you get the money, there is a camera to see who you vote for in the booth but that is a lie there is no camera,” he said.
