A NOTORIOUS criminal of Lusaka’s Matero Township almost lost his manhood when a sharp knife he hid in his underwear accidentally cut him as he swiftly removed it in an attempt to stab a police officer who had arrested him.
Mukuka Mvula, 23, popularly known by his alias ‘Bull dog’, has been on the police wanted list for terrorising residents in the area.
The suspect, who had allegedly stolen a metal gate with others, cut himself on his private parts after his attempt to stab a police officer failed.
The suspect was rushed to Matero Level One Hospital for treatment.
Zambia Police deputy public relations officer Danny Mwale confirmed the incident in an interview yesterday. Mr Mwale said the incident happened in the early hours of Friday around 02:30 hours.
He said police officers from Lilanda Police Post met criminals carrying a metal gate as they were conducting patrols around 02:00 hours.
“After challenging them, they ran away leaving the metal gate. Officers got the gate and started heading to the police post.
The same criminals organised themselves again and started following the police officers in an effort to get the gate back.
They even started stoning the officers,” he said…
