A teacher’s wife woke up to a rude shock on Thursday morning as she was greeted by human faeces left on her door-step.

The woman, who is married to Mr Mainza*, a teacher at Makunka Primary School in Kazungula district, was traumatised by the incident.

According to induna Michael Mundanda, the person who dumped the poop at teacher Mainza’s house also left two letters for him.

“Someone left two notes for Mr Mainza where they were demanding that he vacates the school because his services were not needed,” induna Mundanda said.

Makunka Primary School head teacher Conrad Miyanda confirmed the incident.

Mr Miyanda said one of the letters was stuck on his office door while the other on the door of the deputy head teacher’s office.

“It’s true, someone defecated on Mr Mainza’s door and pasted two letters on our doors. The message in the letter was that people don’t want Mr Mainza here.

We called for a meeting with the community to find out who did that but unfortunately we were not successful,” Mr Miyanda said.

He said the complaint from the community is that Mr Mainza is always absent from the classroom and that he does not know how to teach.
