A 21-year-old man of Helen Kaunda has allegedly killed his 63-year-old stepfather with a fork and another sharp instrument after returning from drinking alcohol.

John Katongo, who lived with his stepfarther, Paul Mbewe, is said to have killed him yesterday between 04:00 hours and 05:00 hours.

Police spokesperson Danny Mwale and Katongo’s uncle Jonathan Chanda, who was in the house at the time, confirmed the tragic incident.

Mr Mwale said the suspect is said to have returned from taking alcohol on Tuesday around 16:00 hours and went straight to bed.

“He [suspect] woke up at about 21:00 hours and started cooking food for himself and joined others in watching television where he was left.
