Two people have died in a fatal road traffic accident in Isoka District as they were going for Munada (Make shift open market).
Muchinga Province Police Deputy Commissioner, Ronald Zambo has confirmed to Sun TV and Radio news that the incident occurred Wednesday around 08:30 hours at Sese village, 70km east of Isoka town along Muyombe- Isoka gravel road.
Mr. Zambo explains that involved was a driver Davy Sichone of Isoka District with unknown number of passengers on board a Mitsubishi Fuso all of Isoka District of which two people died instantly after sustaining fatal head injuries.
He says the accident happened when the vehicle failed to ascend the Mafinga hills and started reversing uncontrollably until it careered off the road and overturned.
Mr. Zambo explains that seven other passengers sustained various serious injuries and are admitted to Isoka District hospital.
He adds that a manhunt for the driver has been launched as he fled the scene immediately after the accident.
