Ne-yo who is in Zambia for a series of performances told the Zambian president that he [Ne-yo] is known for dressing smartly he was not told that he needed to dress in a certain way.

He met President Hakainde Hichilema on Friday morning dressed in a t-shirt and sleepers he came with while landing in Zambia.

Following his meeting with the head of state reactions started pouring in on social media regarding his attire which many described as disrespectful.

This prompted some Zambian opposition political members to attack the State House saying state protocol and etiquette were not followed.
