Vandalism of a towers on the 66kv Mongu-Senanga transmission line has caused a power supply disruption to Western Province, Zesco has announced.
The power utility said in a statement the province is experiencing a power outage Tuesday from 08:00hrs to 18:00hrs as a result of the maintenance that will be undertaken.
However, the firm said power could be restored before the stated time.
“As a safety precaution, our customers and the public are urged to treat all power supply lines to be live at all times, as power supply could be restored before the stated time” Zesco Limited corporate affairs manager Caristo Chitamfya said.
“Zesco regrets the inconvenience caused by the unplanned power supply interruption.”
