A 40-year-old woman died suddenly at the Chinsali New Market on Saturday morning, while selling her goods.
Mary Bwalya, of Mayard Compound, fell unconscious at her stand and was taken to Chinsali Hospital, where she was declared dead.
Her husband, a tailor in Chinsali town, said she had no health problems and had woken up normally that day.
The police have opened an inquiry file, but do not suspect any foul play. They are waiting for the postmortem results to establish the cause of death.
The Deputy Commanding Officer of Muchinga Province, Ronald Zambo, confirmed the incident to Chete FM.
