The Zambia Association of Musicians (ZAM) has visited detained musicians Chester MoPower and Felix Ndangeni Inshila, as well as comedian IDC Light Comedy, at the Mongu Correctional Facility.
The visit was disclosed by ZAM President B-Flow, who said Chester MoPower’s wife and children were also at the correctional facility in the company of leaders from the ZAM Western Province Chapter.
According to B-Flow, the ZAM delegation was led by Western Province Chairperson Tionenji Chilambo, popularly known as Empress Tio.
The ZAM team confirmed that the three entertainers are in high spirits despite their continued detention.
B-Flow said the musicians’ association remains hopeful that its members will be released on Monday, August 10, 2026.
The visit comes days after Zambia Police confirmed the arrest of Chester MoPower, Felix Ndangeni Inshila and IDC Light Comedy.
The three were reportedly arrested and charged with Conduct Likely to Cause a Breach of the Peace, following concerns raised by ZAM over their detention.
ZAM has continued to engage with authorities while calling for the rights of its members to be respected.
B-Flow said the association was keeping its fingers crossed and trusting God for the release of the three entertainers.
The latest development has attracted attention among musicians, entertainers and their supporters, with many closely following the situation and awaiting further communication from ZAM and law enforcement authorities.
The association has continued to emphasise unity among musicians as it supports its members during the ongoing matter.
ZAM remains united with one voice as efforts continue towards the possible release of Chester MoPower, Felix Ndangeni Inshila and IDC Light Comedy.
