Zambia Women’s Netball Team has done the nation proud and requires support, motivation and recognition,Richard Mulenga, the Athletes Commission Chairperson has observed.

Mr Mulenga notes that the efforts of the women are visible for everyone to see, hence the need to motivate them and accord them the same recognition and welcome when they return both from local or international competitions or games.

“Everyone has seen what our women’s netball team has done let’s not play a blind eye.It’s not the matter of posting our womens team on our pages but to support them” Mr Mulenga further observed.

He said support form the coporate world, government and other well wishers is necessary, to ensure that the sports women continue to bring glory to mother Zambia through spectacular performance.

He said there should be equality in all sports disciplines as opposed to treating other disciplines as more superior or special than others.

He said netball in this case, requires stakeholder support, in line with Republican President, Hakainde Hichilema’s emphasis to recognize all sports disciplines, in an effort to promote all rounded sports.
