A MAN of Ndola lost his job after his wife confronted his female boss on allegations that she had a sexual relationship with him, the Kabushi Local Court has heard.

Andrew Chitalu narrated this in a divorce case brought before the court by his wife Lucy Sakala citing marital disputes.

Chitalu told the court he married Sakala in 2017 after her grandmother chased her for spending a night at his place. He later paid K150 as dowry and they got married.

They have one child together. He said his wife was so jealous that one day she called his female boss and told her to back off from him when in actual fact there was no relationship between them.

But Sakala told the court that when the two married they used to face difficulties over his extra marital affairs.

She said Chitalu used to sleep out with other women and continued with the behaviour until his mother decided that they both move to Lusaka.

When the case came up for judgment, the court granted divorce and ordered Chitalu to compensate Sakala K5,000 and provide for the child’s basic needs.
