Zambian music artist CQ has declared that his political ambition is not about chasing titles but about bringing real development and unity to the people of Kabwata Constituency.

In a passionate message shared on his Facebook page, CQ said his mission is not to simply become “Honorable” but to serve the people genuinely and move away from partisan politics that he believes have failed many residents over the years.

“My goal is not for title to be called ‘Honorable’. My goal is to bring real development and equity to all and to move away from partisan politics,” CQ wrote.

The artist stated that Kabwata belongs to everyone and accused some politicians of benefiting only small groups of people while the majority continue struggling without meaningful development.

According to CQ, many leaders have allegedly focused on helping selected circles of supporters while ordinary citizens continue waiting for promised improvements.

“Kabwata is for all of us and I believe for a long time we have left everything in the hands of politicians that have extended tuma samfin to a small circle of people,” he said.

He added that despite years of political promises, many residents still feel left behind when it comes to actual development in the constituency.

“Enough is enough. Kabwata needs a new mindset away from the usual system and together we will achieve and resolve our problems,” CQ stated.

The musician further urged residents to view him not just as an entertainer but as a servant ready to unite all parts of Kabwata and push for real change.

“This year you are not voting for music or an MP you don’t know. This year you are voting for a servant that will unite all the corners of Kabwata constituency and you will witness real development,” he said.

CQ also referenced the biblical story of David and Goliath, saying he believes God has given him the courage to step into leadership and fight for the people.

“It is GOD who gave David a brave heart to face the giant and I believe it is GOD that has given me the courage to step forward in this battlefield,” he wrote.

The artist concluded his message with the slogan:
“KABWATA YATU BONSE!!! VOTE PA CHILIMBA!!!”

CQ joins a growing number of Zambian musicians entering politics ahead of the 2026 General Elections, as celebrities continue using their influence to connect with communities and advocate for development-focused leadership.
