A man of LUSAKA’S Chipata Compound has accused a prophet of Chaisa Compound of bewitching him after he allegedly prayed for him at a mountain.

In this matter, Rodgers Mfula dragged Peter Phiri a pastor at Foundation of Cross to court for removal of a spell cast on him which made him sick.

Mfula told the Matero Local Court that Phiri invited him to the mountain for an all-night prayer meeting, however, during the prayers he passed out only to wake up in the morning alone without his underwear and noticed two traditional tattoos on his chest.

In defense, Phiri denied ever bewitching Mfula, stating that if he was indeed unwell, he could have produced a medical report.

In passing judgement, Magistrate Gastone Kalala dismissed the claim on grounds that the case culminates into cultism which is beyond the court jurisdict.
