She said the two started seeing each other in 2012 when her husband was working at a saw mill where he was not getting paid.
Mushili said she later advised Chipili to quit his job and start a business which she had helped finance.
“Your honour, the business started doing so well and even managed to take me to school where I did my teaching course, but after I completed and was posted in Kasama my husband stopped providing for me,” she said.
She said she even got loans to ensure that she built a house for the family in Ndola but whenever she asked Chipili for some money, he would tell her that she works and gets paid.
Mushili said this led the two to go on separation for two years.
In defence, Chipili said Mushili had a tendency of leaving their house whenever the two differed.
He said she went to stay with her mother but later apologised and the two reconciled.
When the case came up for judgment, presiding senior magistrate John Kabwe sitting with senior magistrate Emelda Masuwa granted divorce.
