Police in Chingola have apprehended a man of Soweto area for defiling a 28 year old mentally challenged woman.
The incident happened on January 29th 2023 in Kings area of Soweto Compound.
Copperbelt Province Police Commanding officer Peacewell Mweemba who confirmed the incident to RISE FM NEWS said Ireen Nambela who is the mother to the victim reported that her daughter Febby Mulopa was defiled by Sunday Mowowo also known as Dala of the neighborhood.
Mr Mweemba said on Sunday, the victim went missing from home and her sisters started looking for her.

He said during their search One boy informed them that she was seen in the company Sunday Muwowo of the same area.
Mr Mweemba said Since they knew sunday’s place, they went straight to his house, and peeped through the door which was left open and found Mowowo defiling the victim.
He said the sisters told the victim to dress up and later they informed their mother who organized for the apprehension of the suspect.
He adds that the suspect has since been detained in Police custody and a medical report form has been issued to the victim.
