GOVERNMENT CONGRATULATES PAUL MWANZA ON HISTORIC STRONGMAN VICTORY

The Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts congratulates Paul Mwanza on his outstanding achievement at the 2025 Official Strongman Games, where he made history by successfully defending his title to become the first Zambian to win back-to-back championships in the Men’s Masters 40+ 105kg category.

Mwanza’s victory over nine competitors once again demonstrates his exceptional strength, discipline, and competitive excellence, qualities that continue to raise Zambia’s profile on the global stage. His successive triumphs mark a significant milestone in the growth and recognition of strength sports in the country.

Youth, Sport and Arts Minister, Honourable Elvis C. Nkandu, has expressed profound pride in Mwanza’s remarkable accomplishment, noting that such performances affirm the rising standards and determination of Zambian athletes internationally.

He has further commended the continued progress in the sport, including Inspector Gift Habeenzu’s commendable 13th-place finish at the World Strongman Championship in Texas, United States of America.

The Minister has also extended congratulations to the Strongman Federation of Zambia and all athletes who continue to push boundaries and showcase the nation’s potential.

“We are encouraged to see the investments being made in sports development yielding tangible and inspiring results. These accomplishments reinforce our confidence that Zambia’s sporting future is bright and full of promise.”
