Zambian musician and humanitarian B Flow has publicly celebrated fellow musician Mampi for what he describes as her consistent acts of kindness, generosity and support for people within and outside the entertainment industry.

In an appreciation post shared on social media, B Flow thanked Mampi for making a financial contribution towards the ongoing fundraiser supporting veteran musician and actress Viola Banda, who is facing health and financial challenges.

B Flow said Mampi had not only contributed financially to the fundraiser but had also taken time to call and encourage Banda.

According to B Flow, Mampi would have preferred that her contribution remained private, but he decided to publicly acknowledge her because he believes people who consistently help others deserve to be appreciated.

“Mampi is one of the nicest, kindest and most generous people I know,” B Flow wrote, describing the singer as someone who consistently demonstrates empathy, care and love.

The musician said Mampi’s generosity goes beyond the occasional public donation, claiming that she often supports people quietly without seeking recognition on social media.

B Flow recalled Mampi’s involvement following the death of celebrated Zambian musician Dandy Krazy, saying she was among the people working behind the scenes to ensure that things were in order during the funeral period.

He further claimed that Mampi made financial contributions towards the funeral on three separate occasions, saying she would call and indicate that she wanted to add another contribution.

B Flow also highlighted Mampi’s involvement in a surprise visit organised by members of the entertainment industry for Bishop Dr Eddie Mulenga.

According to him, Mampi was involved in coordinating the Sunday visit and also contributed towards the gifts presented to the bishop.

B Flow said Mampi even preferred that the gesture was not filmed or publicised, which he presented as another example of her preference for helping people away from the spotlight.
The appreciation post also touched on Mampi’s support for fellow musicians.

B Flow claimed that a significant number of artists who travelled to perform at Macky 2’s last election campaign rally received financial support from Mampi.

He said the support extended beyond artists travelling from Lusaka and included musicians based on the Copperbelt.

According to B Flow, the artists received fuel support through arrangements involving the Zambia Association of Musicians (ZAM), but he claimed that Mampi was behind the funding and had chosen not to reveal this to the beneficiaries.

The claims about Mampi’s contributions and support come from B Flow’s account in his appreciation post and have not been independently verified by Zed Gossip.

B Flow concluded his message by acknowledging that what he had shared represented only a portion of what he says Mampi has done for people within and outside Zambia’s entertainment industry.

He jokingly acknowledged that Mampi may be unhappy with him for making the private acts public, but said he felt compelled to celebrate her.

“So apa Mampi will be upset with me for posting this but nivake ivo,” B Flow wrote, before expressing his affection and appreciation for the singer.

The post comes at a time when the Zambian entertainment industry has continued to see artists and members of the creative community rally around colleagues facing difficult circumstances.

B Flow himself has recently been involved in efforts to mobilise support for Viola Banda, appealing to the public to assist the veteran entertainer with her health and financial challenges.

Mampi’s alleged support for Banda therefore adds another dimension to the ongoing conversation about artists supporting one another, particularly during difficult periods.

For B Flow, however, the message was less about publicity and more about recognising someone he says has repeatedly chosen to help others quietly.

And while Mampi may have preferred to keep some of these gestures private, B Flow’s appreciation post has now put the spotlight on what he describes as the “Queen Diva’s” generosity.
