Bishop Eddie Mulenga, popularly known as Bish, has been honoured for his continued support of Zambia’s creative and entertainment industry during the Danny Kaya Music Fest (DKMF) on Saturday night.
The respected man of God received the DKMF Hall of Fame Recognition Award 2026, in recognition of his longstanding role in supporting artists and the wider creative community, particularly during moments of loss and grief.
Announcing the honour, legendary Zambian musician Danny Kaya described Bishop Mulenga as a person the creative industry can rely on during some of its most difficult moments.
“Bish! Bish! Bish! We call him,” Danny Kaya said in his tribute, explaining that the festival organisers felt it was important to recognise a man who has consistently stood with the entertainment industry whenever it loses an artist.

According to Danny Kaya, Bishop Mulenga is “always never too busy” to show up when members of the entertainment fraternity are mourning, offering comfort, wisdom and spiritual guidance to those affected by loss.
He further praised Bishop Mulenga for reminding people that despite the challenges of life, God remains the bigger picture.
Danny Kaya called on the audience to show their appreciation for Bishop Mulenga, describing him as a “great man of God” who has played an important role in overseeing and supporting the affairs of Zambia’s entertainment industry.
The DKMF Hall of Fame Recognition Award 2026 therefore serves as a public acknowledgement of Bishop Mulenga’s contribution beyond the pulpit, highlighting his presence and influence within Zambia’s creative community.
His recognition at the Danny Kaya Music Fest also underlines the growing importance of celebrating individuals who contribute to the welfare, unity and resilience of the entertainment industry, both during celebrations and in times of mourning.
