IT has been discovered that both suspects in a case of sodomy involving two medical students which was earlier reported at Kabwata Police Station had lied about their identity.

During the course of investigations, it was uncovered that the individual initially identified as Chisenga Chanda, aged 20, of Matero, is actually Brighton Banda, 25, of New Avondale and a 3rd year Nursing Student at a named institution.
The other suspect who identified himself as Matthews Kabwe, aged 20, of Matero, is Darius Musukwa from Kamwala South, also a 3rd year Nursing Student.

Police Public Relations Officer, Rae Hamoonga, says the dual have been additionally charged with the offense of giving false information to a Public Officer, contrary to Section 125 of the Penal Code Act Chapter 87 of the laws of Zambia.

They were caught engaging in unnatural sexual behavior with each other in an ablution block of a named bar at Burma Barracks Mess in Lusaka on 24th February, 2024.

Hamoonga notes that both suspects are detained in police custody.
