Citizens First (CF) party President Harry Kalaba has condemned in the strongest terms the irregularities exposed in the 2025 Auditor General’s report involving K52.6 million in farming inputs under the Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP).

In a media statement today, Mr Kalaba advanced that the report cites 2,128 inactive farmers allocated inputs worth K17.76 million and 4,213 beneficiaries who received K34.92 million in inputs despite benefiting from other government support programmes.

Mr Kalaba stated that the party demands thorough investigations and that all those responsible be brought to book, adding that there must be no sacred cows in the fight against the plunder of public funds.

He observed that farmers deserve respect and noted that FISP must benefit deserving smallholder farmers rather than be undermined by irregularities.

Mr Kalaba said that accountability in the management of public resources must be upheld.

This is contained in a statement issued by CF Presidential Media Coordinator Bangwe Naviley Chisenga.
