State House says President Hakainde Hichilema has written to Parliament seeking approval to realign Government ministries in a move aimed at enhancing efficiency and accelerating the Grow Zambia Agenda.

State House Chief Communications Specialist Clayson Hamasaka says the President has invoked Article 92(2)(d) of the Republican Constitution to initiate the process.

“The realignment is intended to ensure that the machinery of Government fully supports the Grow Zambia Agenda, while improving public sector service delivery for the benefit of the Zambian people,” Hamasaka stated.

Vice President Dr. W.K. Mutale-Nalumango is expected to move a motion in Parliament seeking approval for the proposed establishment, merger and dissolution of ministries.

The move comes just months after President Hichilema secured a second term in the August 2026 general elections, and as his administration shifts focus from economic stabilization to production, job creation and exports under the Grow Zambia Agenda.
