Meet the multi-talented athlete – Kabange Mupopo – who was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant by Zambia Army Commander.

She is both an athlete and footballer! She plays for the Copper Queens – one of the oldest players in the team. She then temporarily abandoned football and went to feature in the Zambia Athletics team.

So, she is in two national teams of two different sports!

Mupopo won Gold medal at the 2015 All Africa Games in 400 metres and also minted Silver and Bronze medals at the African Championships of Athletics.

She was then suspended for four years by World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) after failing a doping test.

She successfully served her punishment before she returned to sports again.

She represents resilience!

Currently, she is with the Copper Queens as she took a break from Athletics. She featured in the last games.
