A borehole drilling expert, Gift Bwalya Musonda, has called for professional water surveying before selecting sites for drilling in the wake of the anticipated El Niño coming rainy season.
In a media statement today, the nurse turned professional driller said professional water surveying is essential to avoid dry boreholes ahead of El Niño.
She noted that many clients rush into drilling without understanding the geological conditions of their land.

Musonda advanced that a professional water survey can determine the availability and depth of groundwater before any drilling begins.
She emphasised that investing in a professional water survey saves money, time and the frustration of failed boreholes.
Musonda, who is also CEO of Gift Aqua Solutions and known as Gift The Lady Borehole Driller Zambia, stressed that clients should focus on important matters such as proper site assessment rather than rushing into drilling.
