Malambo East Independent Member of Parliament Faith Lungu has called on Government to step up efforts in addressing the challenges in her area.
Lungu said too many families still fetch water from distant streams, too many children walk long distances to overcrowded classrooms and too many farmers lack support and reliable markets.

She noted that the people of Malambo East are rich in land, rich in people and rich in spirit, yet still face daily hardship.
Lungu said that she comes to the House as an Independent Member whose loyalty is to the people of Malambo East and to the Republic of Zambia.
She affirmed that she hopes to be a bridge between communities, between generations and between the concerns of her people and the work of this House.
Lungu emphasised that before her election she gave seventy-five pockets of cement to Kasimbo School, a sola pump to Kabila, sixty iron sheets to Nyawa, eighty iron sheets to the Pentecostal church and provided mealie meal, blankets and foodstuffs when floods came to Chikowa.
She added that her journey should inspire other women and girls to believe that their voices matter, their dreams are valid and their circumstances do not have to define their future.
