K30 000 TOO HIGH FOR DAMAGE, K7000 OK – COURT

A 63-year-old man of Choma`s Kamunza Compound sent the District Local Court into murmur and laughter after he demanded to be paid K30,000 damages by the man who impregnated his daughter with triplets despite her having three other children from two different fathers.

Byta FM Court Beat Journalist reports that Justine Muchindu sued Kenneth Muchindu aged 33, demanding for damages after the latter impregnated his daughter Mapenzi in 2022, who gave birth to triplets.

When he spoke, the defendant questioned why he was sued for damages when the issue has never been tabled to agree on the same.

Presiding over the matter, Magistrate Stanley Hankanga stated that the demand by the plaintiff was way high for a woman who has been married before and has three Children with two different men.

Hankanga ordered that the damage fee be reduced to K7, 000, further advising the plaintiff’s daughter to settle down and avoid falling pregnant for every man she goes out with as the habit will make her a frequent visitor to courts in demand for child support.
