Police in Mpika recorded a rail traffic accident involving a Tazara passenger train and a Likili public service bus.

Zambia Police Deputy Police Spokesperson Danny Mwale tells Byta FM Zambia that the accident occurred today around 13:00 hours at Kabuka Railway crossing point in Mpika District.

“Initial investigations revealed that the bus hit into the passenger train bearing number M22,” reveals Mwale.

“Police officers are currently at the scene of the accident.”

Mwale says the state of the passengers on both the train and the bus is yet to be ascertained.
