Female entrepreneur Ellen Miselo Mibenge has expressed gratitude to President Hakainde Hichilema for the historic reopening of the Mulungushi Zambia–China Textiles.

She described the development as a long-awaited revival of a key national asset that had remained closed for nearly two decades.

Mibenge noted that the reopening is not only a restoration of industrial activity, but also a powerful symbol of renewed hope, job creation, and economic empowerment for the people of Kabwe and Zambia at large.

She highlighted that the achievement demonstrates the President’s commitment to delivering on promises, driving industrialisation, and rebuilding the country’s economic foundations.

Mibenge commended the Government for prioritising this initiative and restoring confidence in Zambia’s manufacturing sector.

She added that the reopening of Mulungushi Textiles is expected to stimulate local economic growth, create employment opportunities, and contribute meaningfully to national development.

Mibenge expressed confidence that this momentum will continue as more sectors are revitalised and more promises fulfilled for the benefit of all Zambians.
