Munali, Lusaka – May 2026 — Munali aspiring Member of Parliament Thomas Sipalo has officially announced that he has been adopted to stand on the United Party for National Development (UPND) ticket, declaring that the time has come to focus on real work and development.
In a statement shared on his social media platforms, Sipalo expressed excitement and gratitude following his adoption, stating that his priority remains the progress and transformation of Munali Constituency.
“ITS TIME TO WORK!!! I am delighted to announce my adoption to stand on the UPND ticket,” Sipalo posted.
Sipalo called on Munali residents and supporters who believe in his development agenda to rally behind him, adding that he is committed to working with all stakeholders who share a positive mindset toward improving the constituency.
“To all constituents who believe in our development agenda and vision for the constituency, I invite you to support our cause. Munali’s progress remains my top priority, and I pledge to foster development and work with everyone with a positive mind,” he said.
Sipalo Urges Unity Among Contestants
The aspiring lawmaker also used the opportunity to call for unity among fellow contestants, urging them to work together in advancing President Hakainde Hichilema’s national development vision.
Sipalo emphasized that political competition should not divide people but should instead be used to strengthen collaboration and national progress.
“I thank the UPND for the opportunity and call upon fellow contestants to join hands in advancing President Hakainde Hichilema’s vision, as we are all part of one family,” he added.

In his message, Sipalo also extended special gratitude to individuals who supported him during the adoption process, including Patrick Samwimbila, Kakoma Kabanda, Wendy Mulenga, Shadreck Chimwanga, and others.
