The Zambian Diaspora Network (ZDN) has announced with sadness the death of Professor Jones K. Kasonso, who has died in Seattle, Washington, United States.
In a funeral message issued by the ZDN team, the organisation expressed condolences to Professor Kasonso’s family, relatives and loved ones following his passing.
“We send our condolences to the family and loved ones, and pray that God comfort them in this time of grief,” the statement said.

The announcement has brought sadness to members of the Zambian community in the diaspora, with the Zambian Diaspora Network saying it will provide further information as details surrounding the funeral and other arrangements become available.
The organisation has also indicated that the wider Zambian community will be updated on the way forward once more information is received.
Professor Kasonso’s death comes as a loss to his family, friends and those who knew him, with the Zambian Diaspora Network joining the community in mourning his passing.
