A 30-year-old man of Ndola’s Chipulukusu Township on Tuesday morning collapsed and later died while at a shebeen where kachasu is sold.

Moses Chisenga is believed to have gone for a drink-up at what is his usual hangout place whenever he needs some intoxicating drinks.

On his latest visit, he asked for some food as he was hungry. The seller, who noticed his weak state, decided to go inside the house to make him some glucose to help boost his energy levels.

But as she was returning, it was discovered that Mr Chisenga had collapsed and was breathless.

According to information obtained by police, the previous day Mr Chisenga was allegedly hit with a plank on the head by unknown people.
