A BABY girl has been dumped at the entrance of the White Fathers Parish in Lualuo, Kasama, by an unknown person.

The baby, who was heard crying uncontrollably, was found placed in a 10-litre bucket at the gate by two female workers at the parish.

Northern Province police commanding officer Gloria Mulele said Ireen Musonda and Gertrude Lemba reported for work around 07:30 hours, and while on duty around 09:30 hours, they heard a baby crying.

They rushed outside the gate and to their surprise they found a baby in a bucket.

“Later Clinerius Chipali, 53, of White Fathers Parish, reported to the police that an unknown person had dumped and abandoned a baby who was put in a bucket at the parish gate.
