A 26-year-old man of Lufwanyama has been arrested for allegedly breaking into a house and fondling the breasts of a 27-year-old woman while she was asleep.
Douglas Haloba was arrested on Wednesday after he allegedly indecently assaulted the victim the previous night.
This happened when the woman, who lives near her brother’s house, was sleeping inside her bedroom with her daughter.
Copperbelt police commanding officer Peacewell Mweemba said the victim, on the fateful night, went to sleep around 19:30 hours but 30 minutes later felt someone touching her breasts whose hands she pushed away as she woke up.
Mr Mweemba said the brother caught the suspect, who was taken to the Community Crime Prevention Unit (CCPU) officers. He said the CCPU officers later took him to the police where he was detained.
