CHOMA DRUG KINGPIN NABBED
Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) has apprehended a 20-year-old man of Choma who has been described as a notorious drug kingpin linked to several illegal activities.
The suspect has been identified as Mike Lifumbo, who was found in possession of 66 sachets of cocaine with a total weight of 3.96 grammes.
“DEC, working closely with Zambia Police, has successfully apprehended a notorious drug kingpin identified as Mike Lifumbo,” DEC assistant public relations officer Theresa Mawere said.
“Lifumbo has been on the DEC radar for some time and has been linked to several illegal activities.
“DEC, in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies and the general public, has continued its relentless efforts to combat the illicit drug trade across Zambia.
“In a series of coordinated operations conducted in various districts and provinces, significant progress has been made in apprehending individuals involved in drug trafficking and related crimes.”
