Chimuka Njoomona has once again been adopted as the United Party for National Development candidate for Chakunkula Ward 37 ahead of the August tripartite general elections.

In a statement following his adoption, Njoomona thanked God for the opportunity to serve and said it was a rare privilege he did not take lightly.

“I give thanks to Almighty God for His favor beyond degree and for the opportunity to serve in His vineyard and be a servant of His people,” he said.

He thanked President Hakainde Hichilema for the trust placed in him to govern at the grassroots level, saying it was at this level that the President’s vision is anchored and connected directly with the people.

“More work lies ahead, and I remain loyal to the President and committed to campaigning for him and all UPND candidates in Munali during the upcoming August tripartite general elections,” Njoomona said.

He also expressed gratitude to the UPND leadership, including the Secretary General and National Management Committee members, for conducting the adoption process with integrity and confidentiality. He thanked the UPND provincial and district leadership for their trust and support, as well as the Munali Constituency Chairman and his committee.

Njoomona said he was ready to work with the community to deliver development at ward level in line with the party’s agenda.
