BUFFALOES WOMEN VISITS MARY MWAKAPILA

Green Buffaloes Women this morning visited Mary Mwakapila at her residence in Garden Chilulu. Mwakapila who was a Green Buffaloes player has not been playing football due to illness.

Green Buffaloes was led by Team Manager Warrant Officer Class Two (WO2) Hauma Queen and Head Coach Carol Kanyemba Daka to deliver assorted goods and words of encouragement to the family. The Team Manager assured the family of continued support from the team.

In welcoming the team, the mother to Mwakapila thanked the team for remembering them and the continued support the club has been rendering to the family. The mother appreciated the team for the love they have been showing them.

Mwakapila who was fondly known as ‘RATSA’ was a key player for both Green Buffaloes and the national team. In 2020, she scored the winning goal in a 2-1 win over Cameroon to send the Shepolopolo to the maiden Olympic Games.
