CHINA Jiangsu International Economic and Technical Corporation Zambia Limited is expected to invest more than 10 Million Dollars in the establishment of a concrete prefabricated Housing Production Plant which will generate more than 100 direct and indirect jobs.

This comes after The Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development and National Housing Authority (NHA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the company during the State Visit to China by President Hakainde Hichilema.

The MoU was signed on behalf of the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development Charles Milupi by his counterpart from Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Stanley Kakubo.

Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development Charles Milupi said that it is expected that the company will be constructing more than 1,000 Housing Units per annum.

Milupi adds that the plant will also quicken the pace of constructing critical infrastructure at a low cost to the Government.

The Ministry looks forward to the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the construction of the factory which will be a Joint Venture between NHA and China Jiangsu.

Milupi says that the New Dawn Government is committed to addressing the massive housing deficit faced by the country through such initiatives.
